I had the pleasure of visiting The Salon at Whole Body* at the Whole Foods Campbell location and I can honestly say I cannot wait to go back!
I’m a do-your-nails-at-home type of girl because so many times in the past I thought the paint job was mediocre and those horror stories about cleanliness always lingered in the back of my mind. Well all those fears were tossed out the door when I found out how sanitized everything was and how committed Whole Foods is to being a chemical free environment.Lounge chairs were super comfy and the wall even had living moss on it, which I thought was soooo cool! The Salon only uses nail polishes that are “Four or Five-Free,” which do not include at least four of the following toxins: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, or camphor. I’ve been a huge Zoya fan for a long time so I chose this berry shade called Vanessa. All customers are offered water or tea; mine came with a slice of blood orange, which came directly from the Whole Foods grocery store next door! The foot soak also contained flowers from next door and everything that was used on me – lotion, scrub, soap – were all natural products that truly smelled delicious! My favorite part was getting a mini scrub on my legs which contained sugar and almond oil – yum!
My manicurist Trang was so delightful and made sure I was relaxed and pampered throughout the appointment. So far my pedicure has lasted and I am definitely impressed with how well my toes were painted. If you’re looking for more natural approach to your manicure, I’d definitely recommend The Salon at Whole Body if you’re ever in the South Bay Area. You can check out pricing and appointment information here.
A notable mention also goes to the beauty department at this Whole Foods, it’s like a mini store FULL of natural skincare and makeup that you should definitely browse through! Some of my favorite brands include Pacifica, Mineral Fusion and Scotch Naturals.

I love the premise of this! I really hate going to a lot of spas and nail salons because they use really strong chemical products, whereas I prefer less harsh, more natural products. Hopefully they will bring one of these spas to Toronto!
