1.) Bring an extra pair of shoes: I made the mistake of choosing fashion over comfort and boy did I regret it (9 blisters total on my foot). I thought the boots that I brought were comfortable but when you’re walking for miles and miles for the entire day, bring an extra pair of shoes that you know you’ll be uber comfortable in.
2.) Hand sanitizer + toilet paper are gold: I won’t even go into how disgusting the porta potties were, but expect the worst (especially on the campgrounds). Be smart and bring your own hand sanitizer because these porta potties don’t have a sink for you to wash your hands. Also with thousands and thousands of people using the bathroom every minute, better be safe than sorry and have toilet paper in your backpack.
3.) Designated meeting spot: Like I said, there are thousands of people at the festival and it’s so easy to get lost in the sea of attendees. Don’t make it confusing for your group, have the same meeting spot if you get lost or if you wanna meet up for a show.
4.) Pace yourself: I know it’s easy to get sucked in with all the excitement, but this festival is a marathon and you wanna survive all three days! Drinking alcohol too often and too early is too much for your body in the 90+ degree heat. I made sure I hydrated during the day and drank at night for the shows.
5.) Take more pictures: Three days whiz by – have fun and capture all the wonderful memories around you.
Will you be attending any music festivals soon?
I didn’t go to Coachella, but luckily most of the artists at Coachella stop by Vegas to perform right after so we’ve been getting a lot of cool artists the last few days and this upcoming week. We have Rock in Rio here in May, so I’m still deciding if I should go. The only person I really want to see is Ed Sheeran, though lol.
Did you have favorite performances? I heard about the Madonna-Drake kiss, lol. Other than that I haven’t heard a lot yet.
