I have a confession. I LOVE going to cocktail parties when I can bring a date (aka my bf) because I love seeing him in a suit (ladies, you feel me?) and it’s the perfect excuse for me to bust out a cocktail dress. Just because it’s a dressy occasion, doesn’t mean he has to wear a black suit. Here, my boyfriend decided to wear a navy suit and although I’m wearing black, I like that we didn’t go matchy-matchy. I think the navy feels fresher and it’s a nice change from the usual black suits I always see at parties.

Aw you both look great! My boyfriend only has one nice, tailored, high end suit — from John Varvatos that he bought 4 years ago. I swear EVERY nice occasion since then — weddings, company christmas parties, etc — he’s worn that suit. This year I told him, “you can’t wear that suit to the company christmas party! they’re gonna remember it and think you only have one suit!” LOL. So he had to wear his slightly ill-fitting boring one from like 8 yrs ago hahaha. Will check out Indochino now!
