Sometimes picking an outfit stresses me out.
Yes, really!
I remember I went to a networking event and decided to step out of my comfort zone and wear a super girly dress. Nothing against girly dresses or anything, but it wasn’t me.
Being at a party can be awkward as is, but I felt even more so walking around in this outfit when I was talking to people. Ever since then, I’m all about finding ways to fit a trend with my style.
I’ve been seeing the gold maxi everywhere this season and I actually found this one at my local Nordstrom Rack. Super affordable (under $30) and it fit me perfectly – I didn’t have to even hem it! :O
Besides the fact that it’s metallic (which totally screams holiday glam!), I love that it’s long enough to cover my cold legs and it’s loose enough to feel comfortable.
I believe this maxi skirt is sold out online, but I have a friend that found it on clearance at her local Nordstrom Rack. Just in case, I’ve linked a few below:

I even paired it with a loose black crewneck sweater to dress it down more. But I think you could totally wear this with a silk tank or blouse too!
OR for an even more casual vibe, you could rock it with flat boots or sneakers paired with a cropped leather jacket.
Such an easy holiday glam outfit.

For my hair, I curled my hair with a large barrel in large sections for a more loose wave. LMK if you’d to see a hair tutorial for that, but it’s pretty much how I wear my hair most days.
As for the makeup situation, you’re just going to have to wait and see! There’s a video makeup tutorial coming.
Alright, it’s time for me to start getting ready for my next holiday party!
Until next time!
xoxo,
Alyson

Love this outfit! A maxi is such a great idea to keep warm while still being glam.
