If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been doing balayage for over two years now and I’m still in love with it.
It’s so easy to maintain and I only have to come in for toning every couple months and then balayage every 6 months. My old balayage had grown out, just past the halfway point and I decided to go a little bolder this time.
Umbrella Salon in San Jose is my salon of choice and my stylist, Chloe, has been doing my hair for the past couple years. She knows my style and hair so well that I don’t have to really show examples to her anymore, she just gets me.
If you’re thinking about getting balayage, here’s the skinny. My process took about 6 hours to paint the bleach on, let it process, tone, condition, and style. Yeah I know, it takes a while…but because my natural hair color was dark and my hair is so long, bleaching takes a lot longer. You also don’t have to get it as light as me either, you can essentially get balayage done in any tone and shade.
I have to admit, the color is taking some getting used to, but I’m liking it so far. I highly recommend it if you’re a lazy hair styling girl like me. 🙂

Oh wow this looks so good! I’d love to try a color like this but I’m scared Haha. Did you have to dye your brows?

Your hair looks so healthy and gorgeous! I love the complexity of the colors! I’ve never considered dying my hair because I’m sooooooooo low maintenance with hair it’s not even funny.
