Spring is in full bloom and so are pastels.
Like clockwork, the pastel trend comes up every Spring. But it can be a love or hate trend – some rock it all season long, while others think it it’s a hard trend to pull off.
As a nail polish lover, it can be hard play favorites but I’ve scoured high and low to pick a few that I think would be flattering on a wide range of skin tones.

Light pinks are timeless and China Glaze in Wanderlust is no exception. This shade is flattering whether your skin runs warm, cool, neutral – doesn’t matter. It’s pastel without washing you out. The difference with this one is it has a faint hint of purple and a subtle golden shimmer in the sunlight. You can’t tell too much in photos, but when it’s on the nail and you’re in the sun…be still my heart! When there’s a slight twist on cremes, I’m so there.

If you’re a risk-taker like me, pastel greens run against the pack so OPI’s S-ageless Beauty is an ideal choice if you want to try something different in the spring. Greens aren’t for everyone but it tends to look flattering if the green is cool-toned or neutral. It takes a couple coats for complete opacity but I honestly love the color sage.

This is the time of year to bust out this shade because it screams “flowers” – periwinkle, a perfect union of blue and purple. Unfortunately, I don’t see this shade worn too frequently but it’s flattering on all skin tones when done right. I just purchased this shade by Smith and Cult in Exit the Void and they nailed it perfectly – pun intended.
