Treasure Island Music Festival San Francisco 2016 Recap
As a SF Bay Area blogger, it’s a little embarrassing to say that the Treasure Island Music Festival is my first ever SF music festival! As you know, I went this year with Kettle Brand and I’m so grateful for the experience.
I kept a close eye on the weather all week and there was a definite chance of rain. I was amazed to see how many people were dressed in summer clothes at the festival! I played it safe with lots of layers: a chunky knit sweater, a puffy vest, a rain coat and some rain boots. The rain boots were a MUST this entire weekend since the field was all mud and puddles.
My boyfriend and I got there at the perfect time, no rain yet! Just a LOT of wind.
Unlike the other festivals I’ve been to, I was pleasantly surpised that this one wasn’t as crowded. More often than not at festivals, people are packed like sardines trying to push their way to the front, but everyone here was so chilled and spaced out.

Before the rain hit, my boyfriend and I tried to make use of the outdoor space as much as we could, so we grabbed a bunch of snacks at the Kettle Brand booth to eat with our beer while we listened to music. There was no way we were sitting on the muddy grass, so luckily, we found this little corner to chill at.

Unfortunately, because of the rain and wind, a lot of acts were delayed or canceled, but there were a few artists that I discovered, including Tycho! It’s the perfect soundtrack to listen to when it’s raining outside or when you just want to chill out. The atmosphere was so electric when he was playing and everyone didn’t seem to care that it was raining outside.
(epic SF Bay views!)
(The wind was so strong, thank goodness for all my layers!)
Although this is its last year on the island, I feel very lucky to have experienced this festival where it first began. Thank you Kettle Brand for taking me and thank you to all of you for your support!
