Like clockwork, I make sure to cross off all the things on my beauty to-do list before every major trip. When I’m on vacation, I like to put in minimal effort when getting ready. I don’t want to spend an hour getting ready each day when I could be exploring the area. So here’s what I do to prep before a trip:
Eyelash Extensions
If I have them on already, I get a fill so that they look its best at the beginning of the vacation. It’s the worst when you find out you need a fill when you’re only 2 days into the vacation.
I know could wear falsies instead, but I find having extensions so much easier. I just wake up and I don’t feel like I have to put a lot of makeup on. For those who are blessed with long lashes, a lash perm might be a good option for you!

Shave/Tweeze/Wax
I’m almost done with my laser hair removal, so I don’t have to do much here. I just shave once before I leave and I’m pretty much good to go for the next two weeks If you do need to shave daily, my advice is get waxed.
As for my eyebrows, I like to clean them up as much as possible so I don’t have to worry about tweezing them later.
Facial
Especially if I’m going to be on a long flight, I like to get a facial about a week before to exfoliate and clear out my pores so I can have glowing skin. This way, my skin can heal for a week and then I don’t have to wear a lot of makeup on my trip.
Manicure and Pedicure
If I know I’m going to be on a longer vacay, I always get a gel manicure. For long vacations, I stick with neutral colors so that it doesn’t look too grown out at the end.
And because I tan easily, I don’t feel the need to get a spray tan, but if you need to, that is another thing I’d add the beauty prep list.
